2010 International Sweet Wine Challenge

The Sweet Wine Challenge is conducted each year by the Riverina Winemakers Association and is open to any non-fortified sweet wine. To be eligible for the Challenge a sweet wine must be commercially available in the country of origin, and hold a minimum stock of 50 case lots (12 x 750 ml or equivalent) at the time of entry. There is also a museum class for wines that are not commercially available.
For the 2010 judging the Riverina Winemakers Association welcomes New Zealand's Simon Nunns as guest judge for the International Sweet Wine Challenge.
Simon joins Lester Jesberg (Panel Chair, Winewise) and Ben Edwards as the three principal judges.

Simon Nunns joined Coopers Creek in 1997 as Assistant Winemaker and then took over as Winemaker in 1998. Prior to Coopers Creek, Simon worked at Villa Maria Estate where he rose to the position of Assistant Winemaker. During this time he completed at Post Graduate Diploma in Viticulture and Oenology at Lincoln University, graduating with distinction. He
was also the first recipient of the 'Jason Winter Memorial Award' for academic
achievement. His overseas winemaking experience includes vintages in |
